  • Fred Stanford P.Eng.

    Chief Executive Officer and Director

    Mr. Stanford is a mining executive with 40 years of experience in the mining industry. Prior to joining Rhyolite, Mr. Stanford served as President and CEO of Torex Gold Resources (“Torex Gold”) from 2009 to 2020, and as Executive Chairman from mid-2020 to mid-2021. He started his career at Vale Canada Limited (“Vale”, formerly Vale Inco and Inco Limited) in 1981 as a software designer and then moved into operations management as an underground mine foreman. He progressed through senior roles in mines operations, processing plant operations, engineering, environmental, health and safety, human resources, and production services operations. In 2006, he was appointed to the role of President of Vale’s Ontario operations, a position he held until June of 2009. Mr. Stanford graduated in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia. He is also a certified director with the Institute of Corporate Directors. He has served on the board of directors of Laurentian University, Cambrian College and the Northern Centre for Advanced Technology (“NORCAT”), a non-profit commercial incubator.

  • Tony Chedraoui

    Director

    Mr. Chedraoui is Founder, Chief Investment Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Tyrus Capital, an alternative asset manager, which he founded in 2009 with offices in Monaco and London. Prior to this, Mr. Chedraoui was Global Head of Event-Driven Strategies at Deephaven Capital Management. Before joining Deephaven in 2006, he spent six and a half years at Lehman Brothers, first in investment banking where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and then as a proprietary trader managing an event-driven strategy. In September 2018, Mr. Chedraoui was appointed as a member of the Hautes Etudes Commerciales ('HEC') Paris International Advisory Board, providing advice and guidance to HEC and assisting in its strategic development. Mr. Chedraoui has an MSc in Finance from the HEC in France and a BSc in Computer and Communication Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
     

  • Mario Kozma

    Director

    Mr. Kozma is a Portfolio Manager at Tyrus Capital since 2015. Prior to that, he was Chief Investment Officer at Dubai-based Belhoul Investment Office and before that, Investment Manager at Waterloo-based Inter-IKEA Treasury. He has developed a 17-year track record in private equity spanning across sourcing, analyzing, structuring and executing primary and secondary transactions. From 2001 to 2003, he worked as Investment Analyst with the Merchant Banking team at Lehman Brothers in London. Mr. Kozma holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Ecole Superieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) in Paris.

  • Michael G. Leskovec

    Director

    Mr. Leskovec is the Chief Financial Officer of Northfield Capital Corporation, a TSX Venture Exchange listed investment holding, since May, 2020. Mr. Leskovec is a CPA, CA with 20 years of financial experience with publicly listed companies and capital markets. He has served most recently as a Vice President and Financial Control Officer of Northfield from 2010 to May 2020. He also currently serves as an Officer/Director of several other public companies, primarily in the mineral and investment industries. Mr. Leskovec earned his CPA, CA designation while working in the public company audit and assurance practice for Smith Nixon LLP and holds an Honours Bachelor of Accounting Degree from Brock University in Ontario, Canada.
     

  • Cybill Tsung CPA, CA

    Chief Financial Officer

    Ms. Tsung is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Chartered Accountant of Ontario, Canada with over 18 years of progressive and diverse international experience in senior finance roles with TSX and TSXV-listed companies in the mining, information technology, and consumer product industries. Her mining background encompasses development stage projects, greenfield and advanced exploration, permitting, EIA and feasibility study preparation, working in developing countries, community relocations, and financing. Prior to joining Rhyolite Resources, Ms. Tsung served as Chief Financial Officer for Cordoba Minerals Corp. Ms. Tsung holds Master of Accounting and Honours Bachelor of Arts, Chartered Accountancy Studies degrees from the University of Waterloo.
